Hello and Welcome to our brand new website!
We would firstly like to thank you for visiting our page and secondly would like to introduce you to the team here at Gasworks.
You may already know we are a traditional and family owned business and have been established since 1969. We offer gas appliance sales of fires, stoves, cookers, and hobs, gas appliance servicing, spare parts, installation of boilers and fireplaces and fires.
We have an excellent team of in-house engineers who are all Gas Safe Registered, highly trained and accredited by Worcester Bosch and all major gas fire manufacturers. Our engineer’s full listing of qualifications can be viewed on the Gas Safe register website.
Jack – Jack is our longest standing engineer and has been with Gasworks for 14 years! Jack is qualified to work on natural gas appliances, installing, servicing and repairing boilers, water heaters, and domestic gas cooking appliances, wall heaters and gas fires.
Josh – Josh started with Gasworks back in 2007 on a 3-year apprenticeship qualifying in 2010. Josh is fully qualified to work on both natural gas and LPG appliances. He is also fully qualified to work on renewables and is HETAS approved.
Dan – Dan also started with Gasworks in 2007 on a 3-year apprenticeship qualifying in 2010. Dan is fully qualified to work on both natural gas and LPG appliances.
Scott – Scott joined Gasworks in 2015. He is fully qualified to work on natural gas appliances, installing, servicing and repairing boilers, domestic gas cooking appliances, wall heaters and gas fires.
We are proud to be part of the governments Apprenticeships scheme and work with Eastleigh College to provide high quality training over a three-year period. We currently have three apprentices. Each apprentice rotates between our senior engineers to ensure they gain knowledge into both diagnosing faults, servicing gas appliances and installations of boilers and gas fires.
Luke – Luke started with us in 2014, he is just finishing his final year in Gas installation and Maintenance.
Ryan – Ryan joined Gasworks in August 2016. He is studying Gas Installation and Maintenance.
Connor – Connor is also studying Gas Installation and Maintenance. He, like Ryan, joined Gasworks in
Our technical surveyors are from the engineering side themselves so you can be assured your quotation will be more of an informative survey than a sales pitch!
Ashley – Ashley left school aged 16 and went on to complete a one year industrial electronics course. Upon finishing that he joined British Gas and started a full apprenticeship in ‘Gas service and installation engineering.’ In 1991, Ashley left British Gas to become self-employed as ‘a man in a van!’ 25 years ago, Ashley joined forces with his brother Zac and bought out a small company previously called ‘RKH Gas’ and formed it into Gasworks, creating the large, reputable family owned business we still hold today. Ashley will attend to survey for new boiler systems and fires/fireplaces.
Zac – Zac left school at 16 and started a full apprenticeship with British Gas, he left there in 1991 and then embarked on a small stint as a ‘man in a van’. He then took over Gasworks in 1994 and remains one of the company’s directors alongside Ashley. Zac is one of our technical surveyors who will attend to boiler or gas fire surveys and quote accordingly.
Our showrooms are managed by our Office Manager and are manned by a handful of showroom staff who are more than happy to talk through any queries you may have regarding servicing to sales and can offer you demonstrations and advice on the fires in both of our showrooms.
Tess (Office Manager) – Tess joined Gasworks as showroom staff back in 2006. She has since progressed to office manager and manages both our Shirley and Dibden Purlieu showrooms. Tess’s list of duties is pretty endless! However she mainly takes charge of arranging the diary, organizing the engineers, ordering stock and spare parts and addresses any concerns/queries.
Marilyn (Accounts) – Marilyn started Gasworks 45 years ago!! She takes care of the accounts and payroll side of things here at Gasworks. As well as assisting in the showroom. She definitely deserves a medal for her long standing commitment!
Katie – Katie started in November 2015. She takes care of the digital side of things. Katie will update this new website regularly! And has the role of advertising on our social media pages.
Derek – Derek joined Gasworks in November 2015. Derek covers our Dibden Purlieu showroom assisting customers with sales, information and any queries.
